Once your orthodontic treatment is finished, we’ll provide you with removable and/or fixed retainers, to make sure your teeth stay exactly where we want them. Retainers work by simply holding your teeth in their new position and we can’t stress how important they are for maintaining your confident new smile.
We’ll take impressions for your retainers as soon as your brace is removed. Your teeth are most at risk of moving during the first six months, so it’s crucial to wear your retainers during this period. After this time, your teeth can still have tendency to move, so we recommend that you wear your retainers, at least part-time, indefinitely.
