Before and after braces

We have straightened thousands of smiles, and it’s always a privilege to see our patients’ confidence grow. To see the difference that braces can make, scroll down the ‘before and after’ photos of patients treated by our team.

Impacted upper canine teeth

Before Braces

After Braces

This 15 year-old girl had two upper permanent canine teeth that had become impacted. She was treated with fixed braces following a surgical procedure to uncover the impacted teeth and place gold chains on them. The brace was used to apply traction to these teeth and bring them down into the mouth. Once this was achieved, the brace further detailed the position of her teeth and corrected the bite. Treatment took 2.2 years.

Severely crowded teeth in a reverse bite

Before Braces

After Braces

The 15 year-old girl had a reverse bite and severe crowding of her upper front teeth. She was treated with the extraction of four teeth and fixed braces to straighten everything up and give her a normal bite. All the extraction spaces were closed using the fixed braces and she had a very nice result after around 2 years of brace treatment.

Teeth in a reverse bite and swapped position

Before Braces

After Braces

The 12 year-old girl had a more unusual problem. As well as a reverse bite and some crowding of her teeth, she also had a transposition affecting an upper canine and premolar tooth. A transposition means that these teeth have swapped their position. We used fixed braces to correct her bite and straighten her teeth, but we had to accept the transposition because it was not practical to try and correct their position. After 2 years of treatment with fixed braces, she now has a much better bite and straight teeth, but with an upper premolar and canine tooth in opposite positions!
